A romantic ceremony at Schloss Meersburg with an evening celebration by the lake
A Saturday in June, 27 degrees and a castle right on Lake Constance – we could hardly have wished for better conditions for a romantic wedding.
While the guests were staying at the Residenz am See, we started preparing on site: fitting chair covers, tying bows, placing name cards and macarons, adjusting the floral decoration, setting up the seating chart and the photo booth, and decorating the Hall of Mirrors for the symbolic ceremony.
We also designed all the wedding stationery and coordinated it perfectly. The fine silver foiling on the invitations and menu cards looked particularly elegant.
EVENING CELEBRATION & SPECIAL MOMENTS
Lake terrace, sunset and a first dance by the water
After the ceremony in the Hall of Mirrors at Schloss Meersburg, the guests went straight out onto the beautiful lake terrace. A live caricaturist entertained everyone while coffee, cake and a berry heart were served.
In the evening, the couple opened the dining hall. The menu was upscale and exquisite and was served professionally by the team on site. At sunset, a group photo was taken by drone.
After the main course came one of the most romantic moments of the day: the first dance took place in the dark right by the railing overlooking the lake, followed by an extravagant firework display as a special finale.
Later, the bouquet was tossed indoors and the party began. The band Popsofa got the guests dancing before we said goodbye at midnight. The next morning, we were back on site for our after-wedding service.
Made with love for our couple K & R from Villingen-Schwenningen.
Our tips for your castle wedding on Lake Constance
A wedding at Schloss Meersburg combines historic rooms with views of the lake – make the most of both. A symbolic ceremony indoors doesn’t depend on the weather, and afterwards the lake terrace is perfect for coffee, cake and entertainment. That keeps the schedule relaxed even when the weather is changeable.
Plan the special moments around sunset: a group photo, a first dance by the water or fireworks are particularly striking by the lake. Coordinate these highlights with the venue, photographer and band in good time.
A tip on accommodation: if your guests stay nearby, a lot of logistics on the wedding day simply disappears. And an after-wedding service the next morning means you don’t have to handle the take-down and returns yourselves.
