Interview with SWR

Entrepreneur, mother and wedding planner – between passion and responsibility

How do you combine family and career? This is exactly the question explored in the report by German broadcaster SWR “Working Mom am Limit: Karriere & Familie – wie geht das?” (“Working mom at the limit: career & family – how does it work?”).

As a mother of three, entrepreneur and wedding planner, Anna-Maria Rock talks openly about her everyday life between weddings, running a business and family life. Together with her husband, she runs the wedding agency rockwedding and shows how important mutual support and a strong team are in everyday life.

Being an entrepreneur, a mum and a wedding planner means setting priorities anew every day. Nobody is perfect – but with mutual trust, a strong team and the support of your family, an incredible amount is possible.

Working mom: when family and entrepreneurship come together

For many it sounds like a balancing act: children, household, a company and responsibility for employees. For Anna-Maria Rock, this is everyday life.

As an entrepreneur and wedding planner, she has been accompanying couples on one of the most important days of their lives for more than twelve years. At the same time she is a mother of three – two roles that can’t always be separated.

In the SWR report she speaks honestly about the challenges, but also about why she would choose this path again at any time.

Family and career – why mutual support matters so much

The report makes it clear that successful self-employment rarely works alone.

During the wedding season in particular, flexibility, organisation and mutual trust are crucial. For Anna-Maria Rock, family therefore means not only responsibility but also support.

These experiences shape not only her private life but also the company culture at rockwedding. Because behind every successful wedding there is a strong team that supports each other.

An entrepreneur with heart – beyond the wedding industry too

Many people know Anna-Maria Rock as a wedding planner and expert in exclusive weddings.

The SWR report, however, shows a completely different side: the entrepreneur who takes responsibility every day for her company, her employees and her family.

That is exactly why she is delighted to share her experience beyond the wedding industry and encourage other female entrepreneurs and families.
