Anna-Maria Rock on “Zur Sache Baden-Württemberg”: when wedding planning meets social issues
As a wedding planner, entrepreneur and mother of three, Anna-Maria Rock was invited to the SWR programme “Zur Sache Baden-Württemberg” to talk about a topic that goes far beyond wedding planning: equality between men and women, balancing family and career, and the everyday challenges faced by self-employed women.
For more than twelve years, Anna-Maria and her rockwedding team have been accompanying couples in Germany and across Europe. Alongside exclusive weddings, her responsibility as an entrepreneur and mother is part of everyday life. It was exactly this perspective that she brought to the TV programme “Zur Sache Baden-Württemberg”.
As an entrepreneur, mother and wedding planner, I know how important a strong support network and mutual support are. For me, equality doesn’t just start at work but every day at home – and that is exactly what makes it possible to combine family and passion.

In the programme “Zur Sache Baden-Württemberg”, presenter Florian Weber and his guests discussed how things really stand today when it comes to equality between women and men. Topics such as the gender pay gap, care work, family, career and modern gender roles were at the centre of the discussion.
Anna-Maria Rock spoke from her personal experience as a self-employed entrepreneur and wedding planner. She talked about how important mutual support within a family is and why an equal partnership is, for her, the foundation for successfully combining family and business.

In wedding planning, we often accompany couples for many months. Every day we see how differently partnerships are organised and how individually tasks are shared.
