A stylish summer wedding at Borgo Castelvecchi
In the middle of the gentle hills of Tuscany, surrounded by vineyards, old stone walls and Mediterranean summer air, we had the pleasure of creating a very special wedding weekend with Katrin and Alex. The two wanted an elegant yet relaxed destination wedding in Italy that felt light, modern and typically Tuscan.
The celebration took place at the beautiful Borgo Castelvecchi — a historic villa and special wedding venue in Tuscany whose winding courtyards, old walls and dreamy views provided the perfect backdrop for this wedding in Italy. A weekend full of lightness, heartfelt moments and true Italian summer romance.
Getting Ready
A quiet morning full of anticipation in Tuscany
Katrin and Alex’s wedding day began in a very special atmosphere: calm, full of anticipation and surrounded by the timeless beauty of Tuscany.
While everything was gradually being prepared for the symbolic ceremony, Katrin and her girls were styled by The Tuscan Beauty Wedding. Hair & make-up fitted perfectly into the elegant look of the day — natural, high-quality and in keeping with the lightness of a destination wedding in Italy.
So already in the morning there was that special feeling that would accompany the whole day: a mix of excitement, closeness and the certainty that an unforgettable wedding day was beginning.
Symbolic ceremony in Tuscany
An emotional ceremony under the Italian sun
Katrin and Alex’s symbolic ceremony took place in the middle of the greenery — surrounded by Mediterranean trees, warm sunlight and the relaxed atmosphere of Tuscany.
Bravo Entertainment provided the music together with a violinist, creating exactly the emotional mood that made this moment so special. The ceremony itself was led by a close friend of Katrin’s mother, which made it incredibly personal and heartfelt.
The floral concept by Rosita | Floral & Wedding Lab fitted perfectly into the elegant wedding concept. White flower arrangements, natural details and the stylish white chairs underlined the lightness of this Mediterranean wedding in Tuscany.
Between tears of joy, loving looks and lots of laughter, moments were created that will stay unforgettable not only for Katrin and Alex but for all their guests.
Cocktail Hour
Italian lightness after the ceremony
After the symbolic ceremony, Katrin and Alex and their guests moved on to the cocktail hour — or, as they so beautifully say in Italy: the aperitivo.
With cool drinks, champagne and small delicacies, the wedding party could settle in, offer their congratulations and enjoy the first moments together after the ceremony.
The reception was accompanied musically by Bravo Entertainment. Together with the singer and the violinist, they created a light, elegant mood that perfectly suited the summery atmosphere of this Tuscan wedding.
Between laughter, hugs and a first toast to the couple, the afternoon began exactly as you imagine a destination wedding in Italy: relaxed, stylish and full of joie de vivre.
RECEPTION IN TUSCANY
A dinner full of joy, music and Italian summer nights
When Katrin and Alex were welcomed to dinner, the mood was already at its peak. Under the warm string lights of the Tuscan venue, napkins were waved, glasses were raised, and there was laughter and celebration — it is exactly these special moments that make destination weddings in Italy so unique.
The evening was accompanied by live music and a saxophonist who mingled with the guests and created that relaxed, exuberant atmosphere you otherwise only know from Italian summer films.
Decoration concept
Summery Tuscan flair with lemons and a long dinner table
The decoration concept for the wedding dinner was deliberately clean and elegant, yet full of Italian summer mood. At its heart was a long shared table under the open sky — framed by warm string lights, Mediterranean plants and the historic backdrop of the Tuscan villa.
Lemons in particular played an important role in the whole design concept and, together with natural shades of green, gave the decoration a fresh, summery character. Combined with soft fabric napkins, light linen tablecloths and minimalist florals, the result was a modern Tuscany wedding design with lots of lightness.
The black chairs created an elegant contrast and gave the long table additional depth and modernity. It was exactly this mix of Italian flair, clean lines and a personal atmosphere that made the whole dinner setting so special.
First Dance
A first dance under the starry Tuscan sky
The evening reached its perfect climax with Katrin and Alex’s first dance under the open sky. Surrounded by their loved ones, warm temperatures and countless string lights, the atmosphere could hardly have been more magical.
In the middle of the courtyard of the Tuscan villa Borgo Castelvecchi, the two danced under the sparkling starry sky into an unforgettable wedding night — a moment full of lightness, emotion and Italian summer romance. And all of this already in May.
A wedding weekend to remember
This wedding in Tuscany was far more than just a beautiful event for us. As wedding planners and a wedding agency, we were able to accompany a weekend where simply everything came together: a warm-hearted couple, emotional moments, wonderful guests and an atmosphere that can hardly be put into words.
Katrin and Alex created a place where everyone felt welcome, at ease and completely at home. Between long summer evenings, Italian food, music under the open sky and countless special moments, exactly what a destination wedding means to us came to life: shared memories that last.
