For a whole year, we had the pleasure of supporting this super-lovely couple with partial planning for their wedding. They chose our wedding design package and our master of ceremonies service, so the decorative side was perfectly covered by us.
The concept meeting is an integral part of every wedding planning process. It quickly became clear that the wedding should include lots of greenery, complemented by elegant gold accents and white flowers. Thanks to the colour contrast, our gold lettering really stood out against the exposed concrete wall – a great accent in this beautiful hall, which is perfect as a wedding venue (and, by the way, is used for wine-making during the season). We also set up two balloon columns in white and mint – an absolute eye-catcher that perfectly matched the colour theme of this wedding! We also discussed the schedule in detail, so we wedding planners knew exactly what to look out for on the wedding day.

Wedding planning at the Kaiserstuhl
We prepared the church for the ceremony, equipped the guest reception with water bottles and pretzels and, of course, decorated the evening hall beforehand. As the couple entered, we gave the choir the start signal, lined up the flower girls and finally adjusted the bride’s veil and managed the entrance. All the guests had been seated by us beforehand. After the ceremony, we accompanied the wedding party to the shuttle and then quickly cleared the decoration from the church. At Weingut Franz Keller we set up our beautiful donut wall and filled it with donuts and pretzels. For the table decoration we chose a combination of lots of greenery and our golden geometric lanterns – in keeping with the decoration concept developed during the planning. The combination of branches and the modern lanterns looked really beautiful as centrepieces on the dinner tables. A nice side effect: when it got dark, an incredibly cosy, romantic mood emerged – perfect for a wedding like this.
We really enjoyed supporting this wonderful couple with their wedding planning – it was a seriously beautiful, if rather warm, day.
Our tips for your wedding at the Kaiserstuhl
A winery with exposed concrete and a modern hall is a wonderful canvas for your wedding design. Contrasts are especially striking here: gold lettering against the concrete wall, lots of greenery and white flowers add warmth to the room without hiding its character.
With wineries, think about the season: many halls are also used for wine processing during the harvest. So clarify early when the room is available to you and how long you’ll need for set-up.
A summer day at the Kaiserstuhl can get very warm. Bottles of water at the guest reception, shade and a shuttle between the church and the venue make the day more pleasant for everyone. Later, lanterns on the tables create a romantic mood once it gets dark.
