Thunderstorm and storm warnings kept us busy in the days before the wedding and, of course, on the wedding day itself. As wedding planners we are naturally well prepared and had worked out several plans for indoor and outdoor options in advance.
The bride was completely relaxed during getting ready, enjoyed the start of her day in the beautiful bathhouse of the Morrhof and didn’t notice the rumbling thunder and the bustle outside. This is my job!
Dinner & table set-up
As a wedding planner you are always everywhere. After set-up, the long table in the garden was covered with protective plastic sheeting, but the weather radar showed that the storm front would pass. The wonderful Soulmates and celebrant Karim were spontaneously on board too, and of course the technology had to be kept dry, just in case it did rain.
A touch of Tuscany at the Morrhof

We were incredibly lucky, and fighting for our clients’ wishes paid off! Our natural concept with lots of light and string lights: a dream. With the Soulmates warming up the crowd, the party got going and we wedding planners could finally breathe a sigh of relief for the evening at the Morrhof – the weather was now wonderfully summery and stable.

Our tips for your wedding despite a weather warning
Storm warnings just before the wedding are nerve-racking – but no reason to panic. What matters is working out several plans for indoors and outdoors early on and making the decision as late as possible based on the weather radar.
Protect what’s sensitive: after set-up, the long table in the garden was covered with sheeting and the technical equipment was kept dry just in case. That way you stay flexible without having to move the whole set-up.
And for the couple: hand over the responsibility. While we weighed up plans outside, the bride enjoyed getting ready completely relaxed – that’s exactly what a wedding planner is for.
