Simply rock everything – with gut feeling, courage and family power
In June 2025, “Wirtschaft im Südwesten”, the magazine of the chambers of commerce (IHK) Südlicher Oberrhein, Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg and Hochrhein-Bodensee, featured Dominic and me. Under the title “Einfach alles rocken” (Simply rock everything), Daniela Santo described how we, as a family from Elzach, are shaking up the event industry with gut feeling, extravagance and a lot of courage.
A family business – on Instagram too
The article starts where many people know us from: my weekly Instagram live on Wednesday mornings. With a latte macchiato and in our local dialect, I show new tablecloths and plates, share stories from everyday agency life and answer questions from the chat. More than 20,000 people now follow us there.
We deliberately present ourselves as a family business. Everyone has their role, and only together can we achieve what we do as entrepreneurs and as parents. This closeness builds trust – with our customers and with those who will become customers.

How it all began
From frustration with chair covers to a major event rental company
It all started a good ten years ago: I began as a wedding and event planner, with Dominic on board as a photographer. When you plan events yourself, you quickly notice what is missing – back then, chair covers and beer benches drove me crazy. So we started offering chairs ourselves. Very cautiously at first, with a few inexpensive folding chairs, and those very chairs became the foundation of our business today.
Today, in our showrooms in Elzach, Konstanz and Haltern am See, we show how weddings, parties and corporate events become an experience with stylish furniture and special decor. Around 140,000 items, from chairs to napkin rings, can be rented or bought. We often find our inspiration in the USA and Australia – and in the end, gut feeling always decides.
People celebrate differently now
Since the end of the pandemic, people want to come together again and consciously enjoy their time together. It is no longer just about the food, but about the experience: from the live band to the candy bar. Our orders now come from all over Germany and abroad, often for weddings in Mallorca or Italy – and professional footballers have also furnished their weddings with us.
Our customers also include wedding planners, event venues and other rental companies. As Dominic likes to say: “The cake is so big, there is something left for all of us.”
Courage pays off
Covid changed a lot. Instead of waiting, we invested in visibility and new sales channels, brought our team back from short-time work and ordered our first container full of furniture. When people were allowed to celebrate again, they really celebrated – mostly outdoors, and that needed furniture and decor. For couples today, that means wedding planning by rockwedding and equipment from vonRock Events from a single source.
